Practice Values
&
Guiding Principles
Compassion
We see the suffering of others and feel moved towards action to alleviate their pain. In our heart, we wish them to be free from their suffering, and recognising that we too suffer, we wish ourselves to be free also.
Embodied awareness
We need our body to experience being human. We interact and make meaning of the world around us through our senses and emotions. Embodiment brings presence and presence is a path to peace.
(Healing) justice
Responding to intergenerational trauma and violence and its impacts on individuals and communities requires a holistic response - one that builds collective wellness and seeks restorative responses to harm.
Inclusivity
Access and opportunity change lives and our communities are all the more richer for celebrating the voices and gifts of all.
Interdependence
Every object and entity is inherently linked with the entire ecosystem of existence. We are all connected and our actions, big and small, impact others.
Playfulness
Humour, play and creativity invite lightness into our lives. We relax and allow ourselves to experience joy. We move out of thinking and into being.
Safety
Without a sense of safety, we cannot trust others, try new things, or take risks to change our circumstances. It is the foundation from which all else is possible. Inner security brings a sense of groundedness regardless of the external circumstances.
